Frequently Asked Questions
Find clear answers to common inquiries about our personalized health coaching services
What ages do you see?
I work with patients who are adolescents through older adults (13+).
Is this a virtual or in-person practice?
Medical visits are virtual at this time, including visits that involve diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing medications.
Health coaching sessions may be available in-office, depending on scheduling and location. This allows flexibility while still maintaining a personalized care experience.
Do you accept insurance?
This practice operates on a membership-based, self-pay model, meaning insurance is not required to receive care.
However, it is strongly recommended that patients maintain at least a high-deductible health insurance plan to help cover unexpected hospitalization, emergency care, or specialist services outside of this practice.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted along with other forms of payment.
Can you prescribe medications through virtual visits?
Yes. As a board-certified nurse practitioner, I am licensed to diagnose conditions and prescribe medications when clinically appropriate during virtual visits.
Is health coaching only for people with chronic illness?
Not at all. Health coaching is ideal for anyone who wants to improve energy, prevent disease, manage stress, or feel more in control of their health.
What does membership-based care mean?
Membership-based care means you pay a monthly fee that includes:
- All medical office visits
- Ongoing access to your provider
- Care coordination and follow-up
This model allows for longer visits, more access, and a focus on prevention rather than volume-based care.
Are lab tests and imaging included?
Lab testing and imaging studies can be ordered when clinically appropriate but are not included in the membership fee.
Any associated costs are paid separately.
I prioritize cost-effective testing and imaging options and will always discuss alternatives so you can make informed decisions about your care.
Can I still use my insurance for labs, imaging, or medications?
Yes. If you have insurance, it may be used to cover:
- Prescription medications
- Lab testing
- Imaging studies
Coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on your individual insurance plan.
What types of patients is this practice best for?
This practice is ideal for individuals who:
- Want more time and personalized care
- Prefer a prevention-focused, integrative approach
- Value education and shared decision-making
- Are comfortable with a virtual medical model
What if I need in-person or emergency care?
This practice does not replace emergency services. For urgent or life-threatening concerns, patients should seek emergency care.
For hospitalizations or specialist visits, I can assist with record review, coordination, and follow-up care once you are discharged.
